Kentucky Fried Cruelty
Please check out the site http://kentuckyfriedcruelty.com/ and remember, its not just KFC that sells poorly raised meat. Your grocery store could easily do the same. The best food is the food is made with the best ingredients. Ask your grocer about the food you are buying and insist it is fresh and grown in a sustainable way. More to come soon!
Probably the main reason why I mostly stopped eating meat. I never was against the eating of meat, because let’s face it, if we were tasty to them they would eat us too. But today’s methods in which we acquire this meat is absurd. We run them through killing machines that don’t even kill them all of the time. There are entire cultures that consider eating meat as a very important event, yet most Americans can’t seem to even fathom a meal without it.
I too seldom eat meat. When I do, I buy free-range, naturally raised animals, as whole as possible. That limits it somewhat to chicken and fish, but mostly the former. Anyhow, there are options. They cost more, but you get what you pay for in quality and state of mind – not to mention, you’re doing what is right.
